Sarah Shoemake (SHoo-make) is a freelance graphic designer and art director in Los Angeles.
She has worked on projects with LACMA, PMCA, Green Dragon Office, Diane Keaton, Rizzoli, Day One Agency, BBH, one&All, BOONTHESHOP, Van Alen Institute, Houston BCycle, Women Under the Influence, Rosebar, Otter Farm, Sisters of Los Angeles, girlgaze, Design Inquiry and Diane Rosenstein Gallery.
Originally from Houston, she received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York in the History and Theory of Visual Culture. After college, she lived in New York City and worked at Knoll, Lonny Magazine and Friedman Benda Gallery. She graduated with an MFA in graphic design from CalArts in Valencia, California in 2014.
A poster she designed for Machine Project, an arts non-profit, is part of the Decorative Arts and Design permanent collection at LACMA.
